[svlug] Linux C Programming

I'm converting an old C program that has successfully run on a XTPC. I
wrote it in MS Quick C and used an external Serial Port Library. This
program allowed me to interface with a Motorola 68HC11 evaluation board
via the com2 serial port. I now want to convert this MS C program to
the Linux/Unix environment.

I lack detail information on using the device file for serial port 2. I
do know that I should use function ioctl to configured the port but do
not know what parameters or range of values to use or for that matter
what include files to use. Can I use open() to read and write to
port2? Since Im using RH6.0, what is the correct nomenclature for com2
port?

Can you folks recommend a source of practical information.
