This has worked on all 486 systems (I'm not sure if I've tried it with
386s) I've used, pre LBA or post. Though, I have been told some
system/BIOS combos won't even boot if such a harddisk is in the system,
but I haven't seen one.
This is out of...lessee...15 or so 486s.
