[svlug] Need help with an antique

Hi All,

This should be an easy one.

I have an old monochrome Hercules card in an XT clone that I am working
with.  I have a small monochrome monitor on it now, which has a DB9S
connector on it (that's the one with the sockets).  I just picked up a 17"
monochrome monitor, but it has a DB9P connector on the back (that's the one
with the pins).

If I put a 9 pin gender changer on it, will it fry either the card or
monitor, or are they compatible?
