Why do you think Iomega bought the technology from now defunct Syquest?
Not because of their "super drives". They had better sales force than
Syquest. It's line MS guys selling cheap crap which eventualy floods the
market with poor products.

I never had a problem with Syquest drives. They work under Linux and
Solaris, no special drivers needed unlike windoze...
