[svlug] Netscape freezes on Kernel 2.2.x?

There was  some talk  on the  linux kernel  list about  that. It's a  bug in
netscape. There is a  dirty workaround, but you're better off  going back to
netscape 4.05, which I've been using succefully for quite a while now.

I did  try 4.06, 4.07, and  4.5, and they  would all crash or  lockup pretty
quickly.
