Hey All,

I'm sure this is an easy one... what is a good program that will give me
a readable output (ASCII or GNOME) of available space on a given hard
drive? For example, I want to see how big my /dev/hdc drive is (I seem to
have forgotten), along with how much space is used, etc.

On another topic... and I hope this hasn't been discussed recently... but
what are the advantages to partitioning more than just a boot and swap
patition on one big hard drive? For example, I find it to be an
unnecessary burden to have seperate partitions for /usr along with some
other mount points. Why can't these all be lumped on one partition? I
understand the need for a boot and swap partition, but why make more for
the rest of the mount points when one would appear to suffice?

Thanks,
Mike
