[svlug] off topic: shoe and gourd references

This is a reference from the Monty Python movie, "The Life of Brian". At one
point in the movie, our antagonist (Brian) is evading a group of zealots who
perceive him as the Savior. Somewhere along the way, he had picked up a
gourd. 

In evading the zealots, he simultaneously drops the gourd and loses a
sandal. The zealots stop, and can't decide which of the two items is truly a
Sign (when of course neither is).
