Hi Alvin. There are some market demographics floating around the
Internet that claim, (depending on who is telling the story, of
course,) that one of the largest growth markets for Linux is as an
Internet gateway for a SOHO LAN, where the SOHO LAN consists of MS
boxes running secretary software, and the Linux box. The DOC claims
that the TAM is about 15 million small businesses of 22 people or
less.

Although it would be better if the LAN was all Linux, a lot of
secretaries and executives want to share Power Point, etc., files.
However, 15 million Linux boxes is a good size market, and Linux HAS
received acceptance as a viable Internet gateway in business.
