Nope.  Contractors bid a job price, then seek to minimise cost.  Half as
many cable runs means half the cable cost, and slightly less time on the
job.

Well, I'm going to decline to discuss mine, so perhaps you should 
research the matter, and then report back to us.  I can recommend
some good texts on cabling and transmission lines.
