xdm runs by default on RH boxes at runlevel 5 (I think that's an
immitation of Slackware's way of doing it). configs are in /etc/X11/xdm/ -

Xservers - comment the :0 line if you don't want a local XDM to start
Xaccess - change the broadcast rnge to reflect your level of paranoia
other files: read them, full of usefull comments, self explanatory,
usually need no touching.
