Hi there,
thank you for this thread - I had to read all via findmail, because my
ISP's domain name 'rupnet.de' has been grabbed by a company ASTAT.
As my ISP told me: A lawyer is now involved.
I don't know how long this will last - right know it's not usefull
to send any mail @rupnet.de
BTW: 'telnet localhost' didn't work either!
Also I could telnet an external machine but I couldn't telnet myself
even though nslookup gave the right address for my local machine.
BTW^2: IMHO I use 'telnet 0' as I'm used to do it with VMS/DCL when I
want to get a session on the same host with 'set host 0'
I ever understood 0 as the default route - and usually it works :)
It's a pity that I haven't checked 'route' before the reboot.
Any Ideas how to solve it next time or at least what else has to be
checked?
bye
