1. use 'dmesg'.  Limited buffer, so you might miss some of the older ones.
   Another source is /proc/kmsg.
2. use shift-pageup.  This should work on a normal console.
3. look at /etc/syslog.conf (and man syslog.conf) to see where it's
putting kernel messages.

My klogd recently stopped working, so I have this same symptom, but I
haven't looked at it yet.  Probably a different problem.
