[svlug] Appache does not load on boot....

Have you tried editing /etc/HOSTNAME and
putting your hostname in there?

Have you tried using the hostname and the domainname command
to set those values in /etc/rc.d/boot.local?

Before you do, use grep hostname against some of the boot
scripts.
