Why not? You have million choices here. I like to put temp mounts under
/mnt so I created additional points in there, hda, hdb, samba. That way I
have a point available to mount devices which are not up all the time.
You may create any directries under whatever (/etc would be a bad choice!)
to use for mounting point.
