concerning the open source tradmark dispute: put my vote in for Eric
Raymond. A. he's the one that first coined the phase "open sourse"
         B. Eric has worked his rear off for the open sourse movement
            not only for open sourse software but for open sourse 
            hardware as well.
         c. I would be willing to bet that Eric has spent much more of
            his own personel  "money" and "time" toward the open sourse
            movement than any one person at SPI.
         D. He deserves this small token for his efforts.
         E. I trust Eric to do what's "right" with this tradmark over   
            any infighting at SPI.
         F. This can not be good P.R. if this turns into a "big deal"
         G. the redmond boys will see payback over the halloween letter
  just my personel two cents--randy :)
