I hear Crisp is quite good, but I haven't used it. xemacs/vi and
others tend to be good enough :).

Interesting point. I would too, actually. For a corporation, who
is using a particular product for commercial purposes, and has
several workstations throughout the company (and people to use
them) a multiple use license (or site license) makes sense, but for
an individual with perhaps two or three machines, including a 
laptop? I don't think so.

It is as if the music companies required you to own, say, three copies
of every CD you owned; one for your main stereo system, one for your
portable, and one for the CD player in your car.

I suspect someone might have done it, but I don't know where
to look.
