[svlug] glibc 2.1 alpha fun

Well, I started the glibc 2.0.103 build before going to bed last night,
and found that it failed in the same place this morning when I woke up.
After coming to work, and catching up on the libc-alpha mailing list, I
found that the build problem is not unique to us, other people have run
into it too. If you haven't joined the libc-alpha mailing list, I suggest
that you do. There have been several attempts at fixing this on the list,
but most were people "shooting from the hip" patches.

I'll try building glibc 2.0.103 on my glibc 2.0.96 system and see what
happens. (As opposed to building it on a glibc 2.0.7 system.)

I don't think it will make any difference, the problem is most likely in
the glibc build system itself.
