I just started a job with a company that makes a Linux server that has
a browser based GUI wrapped around it (www.internet-appliance.com).
The marketing folks started out telling us not to advertise the fact
that it was Linux. While I was working the booth at Comdex everyone
I mentioned Linux to got very excited about it. On Wednesday afternoon
we talked them into letting us put a stuffed penguin in the booth.
The text "Linux" was no where to be seen, but Tux did the job and
attracted a lot of people into the booth!

Before we put Tux out, one guy asked why he should buy our inexpensive
all-in-one box rather than an NT server. I said that it ran Linux and
he was convinced. It's really cool to see how much the market acceptance
of Linux has grown over the past year.
