[svlug] Possible specs for system. please review them

Just a bit more pricing feedback, this time on motherboards. While I still
won't touch the technical issues here, I did notice that Fry's is today
advertising a "Build Your Own Upgrade Special" for $249 that consists of:

                -- A 300 MHz K6-2 CPU (with 3D Now)
                -- A FIC VA-503+ motherboard
                -- a mid-tower case of unspecified quality

I believe that this is the motherboard/CPU combo that Rick Moen recommended
back when he was speaking to you. The "upgrade" description of this package
is somewhat ingenuous -- you really want up-to-date memory, HD, and video as
well, not recycled stuff -- but it still can give you an idea of what the
pricing alternative is.
