That would be silly.  Just send the IPX over the wire.  It's a 
relatively chatty protocol (not as bad as AppleTalk or -- ugh -- 
NetBEUI), but routes just fine.

If you're looking to use a single frame type, you could choose
Ethernet_SNAP, though I'm not sure how you specify that for
Linux's TCP/IP stack.
