as a data point, I would like to mention that I have had a person
express frustration at me in the last week that they had to click
_two_ times in applix to change directories in the file dialog box,
while they only had to click one time in the kde file manager windows
to get something done.  

I am not sure if this means yes, we should put linux in front of
everyone we can, just to save their minds from being made into mush by 
another OS, or what.
