Washington Post and MS AT; a box of Red Hat Linux was shown around the
courtroom by an MS attorney. What is kind of funny is that Linus
Torvalds was at the Open Source Business Model conference held at
Stanford University last night-where the future direction of Open
Source and Linux is headed. When it was mentioned that we need a model
to make money with Open Source, there were boos and hisses from the
many people present. Then someone ask where would Linux be in all of
this, and Torvalds replied that he didn't care what anyone does with
it-its my hobby."

So, let me see if I understand this. An MS attorney stands up and
waves a Red Hat Linux box around for 30 minutes at an anti-trust
litigation claiming that it is a threat to MS.

I got it. I understand. MS is threatened by a 20 something years old
Finn's hobby. Got it.

BTW, this is terrible PR for MS. A 14 billion dollar a year company,
with thousands of programmers, threatened by a Finnish undergraduate
student's hobby. That ought to run up their stock, real fine, after it
sinks into the public. I'm beginning to feel sorry for MS. They have
lost control of the situation and the company. It would seem that the
most damning evidence was internal email. How ironic. Sunk by the very
technology they were touting.
