I like M4.  I like make even better.  Some of the stuff I have done at
work with the combination of the two is truly gruesome, but it's also
pretty gosh darn slick.

The only disadvantage to this is that I end up getting snookered into
configuring sendmail for people who aren't nearly as gung-ho about it
while in the process of trying to convince them that it's not as evil as
it seems.

Oh, well.  To each his own.
