Our office is moving to a temporary location. Due to circumstances beyond
our control we were not able to secure one frame relay to the temp office.
We have 3 kinds of networks on our current site, 2 TCP/IP based and one
IPX. Temp connection for TCP/IP network won't be a problem but Novel
network is a different matter.
Frame relay for Novel net will move to the final destination a few miles
away from the temp office. One department depends on Novel network for
CCMail and some proprietary software. I would like to use Linux to solve
the problem connecting temp and future permanent office using modem line
if possible.
Don't have much time for other experiments like replacing everything with
Linux boxes as much as I would like to have it :-)
Is there a way to tunel IPX network through TCP/IP using Linux? I know it
would be slow, one possibility is using 2 phone lines with load balancing.
Anybody have any experience with tuneling inferior protocols with TCP/IP?
I know there are other solutions like wireless but we are looking for a
short (2 month) term solution.
Pointers and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Rafael Skodlar
