Hello SVLUG,

I am not sure if this is appropriate to post here but I have a contact to a local recycling company in Sunnyvale that is offering me 12 G Quantum drives (recycled 30 day warranty, 17 left in stock) for $190.00 plus tax (wholesale price). I am not making any profit on the deal except that I am buying a few for myself to put various flavors of Linux on them. If anyone is interested just pop me an email and I will let you know when I am making the buy for them (see I would make a horrible salesperson that is one reason I am in IS).

Ok now a true Linux question. I am looking for a Linux program that could run WinFrame. So far Citrix makes the PC client and Ntrigue makes a Mac and UNIX client for Winframe. I called the company that makes the Unix client and they told me that they are partnered up with Microsoft and they also think that Linux users would never to pay to use it. Are we cheapskates? Is anyone working on something like this that is willing to admit it?

If I could figure this one out then I could run Linux all day long instead of running Windows directly, although I would still be using programs written for Windows. The advantage is to have compatability with Microsoft and yet not be like Microsoft, sort of like their programs can run on Linux systems but not the other way around. This comes back to the whole Revolutionary War theme, the Americans built guns that could use British ammunition but it did not work the other way around, unfortunately this was forgotten when the tables were turned later in history.

Regards,

Milo Dodds
