Sometimes I think some columnists actually intend for most people to not
get their jokes. What other conclusion can you reach from this sample? :-)

Anyway, I think 342 was supposed to be a reference to the number of crates
of tea that were tossed in Boston Harbor in the 1773 Boston Tea Party. But
at first I made a double-take at their number too... since our estimate was
that we handed out more than 400 CDs. We never said "342" anywhere.

Anyway, I'm not worried about this. Even though Rick pointed out that
InfoWorld lost the original author of this column and it's now being
handled by an imitator, we can rest assured that the readers of that
column still know it's all tongue-in-cheek anyway.
