I think I have it settled. The first batch of boxes cost us one price.
Since that order they increased the price of the units. When we placed the
second order, they assumed that we wanted the units at the same price. The
original units were $40 cheaper and had 6x86-200MX CPU's. The only 200MHz
CPUs they had were the WinChips and they stuck those in and charged us the
lower ... older price. In other words, I got the boxes for $40 less than
if I had bought the advertized boxes. I was not aware of this.
Basicly is was a situation where they assumed we wanted something without
actually asking us if that is what we wanted. I would have been perferctly
willing to pay the higher price for the better CPU and had assumed that I
had ... they did not include an invoice in the package.
We have it all worked out and everything is well. I am worried about the
comment from them that it mentioned the WinChip CPU on the web page
because that is clearly not listed as an option. I guess it worries me
when I see a weasel attempt from someone rather than coming straight out
with the facts. In any case, it is all settled, I am returning the
unwanted CPU's and getting credit for them.
