Begs the question of whether this isn't an argument for /var,
which (obviously) exists for specifically that reason.

You gain the correlary advantage of not having to invent the bizarre 
fiction of a "httpd" user having a home directory.

By the way:  You aren't _really_ trying to lecture me on fundamentals
aspects of static vs. variable subtrees, were you?  I mean, weren't we 
just discussing FHS 2.0, or was I hallucinating?
