It's not just a matter what one likes. It's the usability. I never enjoyed
vi-ing /etc/sendmail.conf. I have yet to see a decent tool that would take
care of that file configuration.

There were wars about which mail tool is better. It always comes down to
what is going to survive the biggest load and all kinds of possible
attacks. Sendmail seems to be that way. It keeps going and going...

However now that you focused my attention to exim I'll take a second look
at it. It might become handy when we move our office to a new location in
about 2 weeks. During the transition period I'll try to provide as short
email downtime as possible. exim might be the answer. We can leave a Linux
box runing exim behind and have it forward the mail over a dial-up (PPP)
connection to the server in the new office until the T-1 line kicks in.

Additional suggestions are welcome.
