[svlug] Enlightenment CVS and IMLIB

I started w/ a clean install of Debian 2.0.  I got apt-get installed and
did a apt-get install enlightenment and I got the enlightenment E14 stuff. 
I also did a apt-get install imlib1 or something.  imlib-dev maybe.  All of
this was pointed at slink.  I then went to
http://www.debian.org/~bma/e-cvs/debs/ and downloaded all of the debs to
upgrade to E CVS.  They were current like Nov 11. I then had to download
libjpeg62 (6b).  Enlightenment CVS depends on libjpeg62.  I then get any
thing like hand of god or night or twilight or darklotus or anything I when
I start X it tells me that library is 62 and caller wants 61.   This is a
error from IMLIB.  Is there a newer version of IMLIB that isnt on Debians
slink dir?  I dont want to have both 61 and 62.  I think that was the cause
of my problem b4 (windows having the top part cut off).  Is there a newer
version of IMLIB that supports 62? I think mine was 1.xxx.  If there is a
newer version can I just do a dpkg -i filename-of-newer-imlib?? Will that
update all the files and stuff or do i need remove the older one?  When i
do a dpkg -r on stuff I just get tons of dependency errors.  Is there a way
to have it remove all its dependencies also?  that could be fatal probly :
