[svlug] 2.1.127/8 weirdness?

Is anyone else seeing this (note that I will be resubscribing to the
kernel list directly)? I have started testing the late 2.1.x kernels and
2.1.127 and 128 seem to have a REALLY weird problem where sometimes the
system seems to REALLY slow down. It is random. My last build on 2.1.127
went a day before it happened and my latest build of 2.1.128 did it
within a few minutes but it has not recurred since I rebooted an hour or
so ago.

I don't get a lot of disk activity or anything ... it is just that
launching a program takes forever. I hit the reset switch after waiting
over 30 minutes for a shutdown -h.

This is a UP kernel (SMP=1 commented out of the Makefile) on a P166 w/48M
of RAM. I can not recreate the problem. The unit responds to pings,
characters typed on the command line are echoed in a snappy fashion ...
just takes forever to launch a command. A ps or uptime command might take
10 minutes.

I notice that a 129pre1 is up.
