Quoting John Conover (conover at inow.com):

Indeed. Focus on the dream, not the competition. The tone Don
Marti struck in his post strikes me as ideal.

Remember, in any event, that Microsoft _is_ a Linux developer, with
two products released so far: Media Player and NetShow, both available
from the Net as statically-linked ELF binaries. Both are worth having
on hand as adjuncts to XAnim, Real Player, etc. (Microsoft Internet
Explorer also exists for Linux, but has not been released.)

If the subject comes up, I'd be glad to welcome Microsoft to Linux's
level playing field dominated by commodity protocols. That's an
appropriate and fitting place for them to be.

Cheers, Linux: It is now safe to turn on your computer.
