:-)  Yeah, it makes you wonder sometimes.  But it's only too obvious that
they just want a piece of the action.  Silicon Valley is the de facto
capital of the Internet.  (Most chips and networking equipment come from
here.  And 1/3 of the packets on the Net pass through backbone routers in
San Jose, Santa Clara and Mountain View.)

Ummm... I'm not sure you intended the analogy that way...  The Brits did
exactly that in the War of 1812 - burned down the whole city.
