It's 4.4.1 - just got it.  It can handle Word 97 or Excel 97 stuff, but
somehow, people keep sending stuff that it won't open until I re-save it
with my own Office97.  I'm thinking it must be some sort of
micro-incremental versioning that MS is doing deliberatly so that their
file formats will be hard to parse, and that somehow the others in my
company are getting microscopic version upgrades from ... somewhere.
(Like when they web-browse with IE4)

We've do have people here pretty well trained. When delivering stuff to
the Tech dept. most say something like: "Well I've got it as an excel
file, I could export that as a csv for you."  Though every time somebody
new comes in, we get to train them all over again, but that's always the
case.
