It doesn't look like 2.1.127 is a good kernel to try out.  I'm seeing more
wild problems than normal, and menuconfig is brain-damaged again (and
black-and-white!?) which it hasn't been since 2.1.8x...
With the timeout changes, ftape didn't compile, but 2.1's ftape (and the
latest ftape's from their homepage) have never worked with my Travan
400mb.  I'm about to move it back to my 486 running 2.0.whatever-rh5.0.

I moved back to 125 because my ps/2 mouse didn't work, and I haven't had a
chance to post to linux-kernel yet.  I was hoping someone would beat me to
it, since all I know is I can't make it a module anymore, and open
/dev/psaux returns ENODEV.
127 did boot, though, which makes me luckier than a lot of reports I saw.

Oh, I should probably mention that broken sound was a very frequent
report.  That will probably be fixed if you try Alan's .ac patches (don't
think he has one for 127 yet).  www.linux.org.uk.
