I think Netscape would put it somewhere else, in its own Netscape mail
directory.

But if your mail is in mbox, you can read it via "mutt -f mbox".  It's
really unlikely that fetchmail would silently discard mail -- try running
it as "fetchmail -v" and see if there are any interesting errors.
