'Following this most recent memo leak, Microsoft posted a statement on its
Web site claiming, "it is important to note that these memos [the
Halloween memos] represent an engineer's individual assessment of the
market at one point in time. These memos are not an official statement by
Microsoft on the issue of open source software or the Linux model." '

I guess not all witches were burned last week.
