Right, that's why I said I'm not trying to convert you.  Personally, I
lived happily without X for years because I had emacs.  In fact, I used
exactly the same argument that you use, except I used it against
downloading X.  To each his own.  Just don't complain that emacs is a
big editor because it's not an editor.

AARGH, IT'S NOT AN EDITOR!!!  It ships with THREE editors out of the
box!
