[svlug] RealPlayer 5.0

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone else is laboring under the mysterious:

 ****audio: write error: 512 bytes errno: 0

bug using RealPlayer 5.0 on ELF system running 2.X kernels? Real seems aware
of the problem but is not sure what it is. I was hoping someone on the list
had tackled it. Things I checked:

- Whether it was Netscape specific or not (no, fails during stand-alone
execution)
- Whether /dev/dsp, /dev/mixer opens where failing (no, strace bears this out)
- Configuration problems (re-configured, then removed and re-installed and
re-configured)

Ideas?
