I would tend to doubt it. If I remember correctly the 68020 doesn't have a
PMMU chip. This is required to do Virtual Memory. There is a socket for a
PMMU on the MacII motherboard, but I think you'll have a hard time finding
one now.
Also the MacII only supported 8 megs of RAM I believe. Probably not enough
if you wanted to do X. Actually it did support more than 8 megs, but it
didn't support standard 4megs simms. The spec for 4meg simms came out
after the machine shipped in 1987.
If there is a non-powerpc Linux port, it's probably only for 68030 or higher.
