[svlug] SVLUG InstallFest - Sunday, Nov. 22?

If I understand correctly, SVLUG currently lacks a home for its
InstallFests, and I would guess that nobody's currently in charge
of new ones.
I'm not the right person for the latter job, because I live in
San Francisco and have no contacts for South Bay meeting venues.
However, I would like to invite SVLUG to have its November InstallFest
at Oakland Convention Center during a Robert Austin Computer Show,
on Sunday, November 22th (a 4th Sunday, if anyone cares), 10 AM - 4 PM.
I am setting up a CABAL (see X-headers) InstallFest at that place/time,
and SVLUG is (of course) very welcome to join. All the club folks
have to do is say "Sure, let's co-sponsor it". All _you_ have to do
is show up.
If SVLUG _does_ want to make it official or even semi-official,
please note that SVLUG's page at http://www.svlug.org/wrkshop.shtml
is out of date and advertises the Saturday, October 17 meeting at Cisco
as the "next workshop".
Directions and such will soon be on the BALE and CABAL pages on
http://linuxmafia.com/, and are already at http://robertaustin.com/.
(Why not the Cow Palace, some of you may be asking: On the Nov. 28
show date at the Cow Palace, Thanksgiving weekend, I'll be out of town
at LosCon, and the Dec. 19 show date is too close to Christmas.
We might want to do Dec. 12 in Oakland, too.)
Meanwhile, I hope folks are thinking about a new, longer-term home for
the InstallFests.
