[svlug] Redhat 5.0 Installation

Hi guys
I know maybe this is something to be attacked at the Installfests, but
3rd Sat of the month just went by, and the next one is some way off, so
I thought of writing here.
I'm having a problem at the bootloader install stage. While trying to
write LILO, the RH installation  program gives an error message saying
that "an error occured at the Install Bootloader stage". No other info
provided. I've tried writing it to the
(1) boot partition (/dev/sda),
(2) root partition (dev/sda1), while using System Commander boot
manager.
No go. I get the same message both times.
Has anyone had any similar experience? I've written to the RH guys, but
no reponse as yet (they dont work on weekends, I guess, while weekends
are the only time I can devote time to do this stuff).
