hi ya...

am I the only nutcase that thinks that an infared motion
sensor should be hooked up to a PC with a standard video/vcr
Camcorder ??

If the alarm is tripped, I want to take a digital picture
and *see* what tripped the alarm...
	digital pic == via digital camera or camcorder w/ capture card

The motion detectors and loop detectors are your standard
stuff from Radio Shack or adt...

but no onea( alarm systems ) ever captures the *event* on film...

so if I or someone break into an office...i want a picture of
the intruder and email that pic to yet another site...
so even if they destroy the security system, the survellance
pic was already emailed...( not the stuff of the "alarm system"
calls an operator in timbucktoo, USA whom calls back to the
local police/fire station for a fee of $29/month or whatever...

Am thinking how hard can it be to take a picture with the PC
running linux or Win95/NT...

Am thinking...
	- need cam corder "device driver"
	- need GUI based on X11, and microsoft Windows95
	- need parallel port to controller and sensors
	- need interface hardware ( fm receivers of the wireless sensors )
	- need spare parts: PC, camera, "time" and "programmers"
	- maybe even modify Xalarm ?? ... oh well...

and than turn around and sell embedded office survellance system
based on linux back to ADT and Bay Alarm and the others...

oh well...what better to waste a sunday afternoon...dreaming...
