Overdoing it? IRS is overdoing it. Why it's so complicated? Private
interests? And the ultimate benefactor?

My intension was to support Linux based business. Little by little.
Besides taxes are not based on mathematical formulas (unfortunately) but
on interpretations of political views.

Let's get flat tax (all men are equal by the way) so that 2 lines in shell
would do the job; cat and lp.

Idealy: mail -s"Tax report" irs at treasury.gov

Show me two consultants that prepare one tax report the same way
independently and I'll replace my home Linux boxes with a legal copy of
NT. (I don't worry about that)

I paid $100 last year for tax preparation. The same old story as with MS
software, you have to do it once a year (upgrade) to be current and the
previous version is not good.

Tax preparation is not value added service like adding mustard on your
sandwich, but costs much more. If those people ("tax advisors") were
involved in promoting space technology for example we would be better of
on Earth. What most people know about space is from tabloids (face on
Mars) and Art Bell. Ignorance is so convenient.
