just a few comments... what fun working with linux....and frustrating tooo...

no problem.....either a 5 minute problem or hour of debugging or get another card...
- but to be sure it works...I'd bring a known working SVGA card...

get one that is listed in the Hardware-HOWTO and avoid AGP cards unless
you know precisely what to do... cause it does work under certain cases

I like the way you're thinking....but....

I can get all that working for you by midnight on any other night except
tonight....want to go to the linux meeting tonight... and even $150 will not
get me to fix machines...

btw....I've had a "user error" ( me ) with configuring msql before....ehehehe
