Bill, if it'll make you feel any better, I made that same exact
mistake last week, with a Kinston 2100 ethernet card.  My feeble
excuse is that I keep forgetting about Plug'n'Pray BIOSes and
their complications.  But I still looked pretty stupid, when
I did it.
