It is, actually. A bit of history on that: Back in the _really early_
history of Navigator (beta and 1.x), Netscape always released the browser
in both staticly and dynamically-linked versions. This ceased some time
around 2.0. Netscape seemed to back-burner requests from Linux users
on this and other matters, because it's an "unsupported platform".
So, with 4.x, I was pleased to notice that the dynamic binary is back,
and was going to get around to using it with the Motif 2.0 libs languishing
on my bookshelf. (As with you, I found that the static binary went in
like a snap.)
However, it looks like I'm going to want the 1.2 Motif libs, too. <sigh>
Recommendations, anyone?
