Not Understood! I do not posses the fundamental knowledge of the
internals of X or Linux to understand how to address this situation. Nor,
at this point of time, do I feel that I should have to address this level
of detail to use the system. I do not have the time to learn the arcana
required to tinker with this level of obscurity right now. I just need to
get Netscape running on my portable machine before Tuesday Morning. If
that means re-installing some part of Red Hat Linux 4.2, that I can do. If
it means recompiling or other things, then I probably do not have time to
learn enough pull that off by myself, and need to seek other, more
probable, avenues of Getting Things Done. That probably means Windows NT
Server, which on a 486 will probably run like molasses and make me look
like an idiot.

Anyone want to earn a buck? It is not that I do not want to learn, I
do, and very much! But if I don't have Netscape running under Linux and
do my demo Tuesday, I won't get the contract, nor the money. Rather than
risking my life trying to steal electricity from the power lines so that I
can tweak Linux while living under a bridge; I would rather pay someone to
help me get Netscape running under Linux before Monday Night, earn the
money, and continue living in my apartment with all my computers.

(I would also like to get JAVA running, and the 3com 3C562C modem,
But that is another project.)

     I am in Sunnyvale. I have a car, a telephone (408-983-0518), a 486
notebook with a 512 meg disk drive, a PCMCIA LAN card, and a PCMCIA SCSI
card. (As well as a larger desktop Linux machine, LAN, NFS (running!)
etc.) I do have some experience with computers... (27 years,) But I
don't know Linux Internals. Nor do I have the time to learn ALL of that
NOW.

Does anyone want to earn some money? Or can someone give me some
simple instructions that I can do in an hour or so perhaps with some
telephone support?
