[Speakers] Administrivia: addresses, vendors

Sat Sep 27 21:42:07 PDT 2003

Hi All!

Couple of items:

- Make sure we have an e-mail address for each speaker posted somewhere
in the speakers list archives, preferably in the CONFIRMED message.
This is so I can Bcc the speaker with the announcement notice as a way
of making sure they remember to show up. ;-)

- Since we're booked so far in advance now, we can probably afford to go
slow on signing up vendors as speakers unless they are in some way
astounding. Vendors tend to pull smaller audiences. And vendors are
always easy to get on short notice, in case we do have a non-vendor
speaker fall thru. Use your best judgement.

(Note that if we don't practice *some* vendor restraint, we'll have a
vendor-heavy schedule, because vendors are always much more persistent
  than individuals.)
