I started a company called Maxlinux Inc. though it is an idea in progress still in the startup funding stage and looking for partners/investors, I was asked to Speak at the LinuxCorp2003 conference in São Paulo Brazil July 1-2. It was just a 1/2 hour discussion on Linux migration and benchmarks. The idea behind Maxlinux is to create a single point of reference for a customized migration path to Linux. The other part of Maxlinux is to provide an environment to run benchmarks from lmbench to TPC-C on the Linux platform, compare white and black boxes and publish results on a website. As the TPC-C benchmark can be expensive some profit can be made making the equipment available along with the expertise in TPC-C.
